Esmaeil Bakhshi temporarily released

On 30 October 2019, Esmaeil Bakhshi, one of the most popular workers’ activist was released on a temporary basis from Even prison in Tehran. He is the spokesperson and one of the leaders of the workers’ Assembly in Haft-Tapeh sugar cane refinery plant. His release has been made possible by the relentless struggle of the workers in Iran and the international solidarity which gained momentum day after day.

There are still more workers’ activists in prison, namely Mohammad Habibi, Mahmood Beheshti Langaroodi, Zeynab Jalalian, Mozhgan Keshavarz, Monireh Arabshahi, Jafar Azimzadeh, Leyla Hosein Zadeh, Saeed Shirzad, Mohamad Nazari, Yasamin Aryari, Payam Shakiba, Atena Daemi and many more. They should all be freed. The struggle to unconditionally freeing all political prisoners must continue. The persecution of Haft-Tapeh workers Yousef Bahmani, Mohammad Khanifar and Ebrahim Abbasi must end. False prosecution of workers in AzarAb, Hepco and all political, social and workers’ activists must end.

The world is joyful of the release of Esmaeil Bakhshi. His release is a victory for the working class and the Haft-Tapeh workers. the latter have continuously struggled for Bakhshi’s release. We must continue our struggle to free all political prisoners.
