Communiqué Worker-communist Party of Iran – Hekmatist Worker prisoners condemned to more prison sentences

workers are here to stay, the regime is doomed to go!

On Saturday 7th September 2019 the so called court in Tehran extended the jail sentence of Haft Tapeh workers. According to reports, Email Bakhshi is sentenced to 14 years in jail, Mohammad Khanifar to 6 years, Sepide Ghalyan, Asal Mohammadi, Sanaz Elhari, Amir Hossein Mohammad Fard and Amir Gholi to 18 years in prison each.

Ebrahim Reisi, the judge, has organised an attack on the left wing activists in Iran. Targeting the activists of International Women’s Day, May day protestors, workers’ activists and summoning 41 Ahvaz steel workers, he and his government have extended executions, torture and terror in the country.

These horrendous rulings are imposed on workers and their sympathisers at a time when the regime officials who are the real criminals are free. As the Haft-Tapeh workers have said “workers are in jail and the the thieves are free”! The whole capitalist system, its government and so called judicial system are there to suppress any protest or critical voice in the country. One can not destroy them by “justice”, “civilised” or “peaceful” means. They must be destroyed by revolutionary force.

Regime’s calculations are not working for it. Workers and the majority of people who have had enough of poverty, discrimination and destitution are not surrendering. Regime’s bullying and that of its judicial system is a reflection of their fear of mass protests.

Worker-communist Party of Iran – Hekmatist strongly condemns and opposes these recent convictions. They will not be left unanswered. An attack on one part of the workers in the country is an attack on the working class as a whole. Workers in Iran and internationally will extend their protest movement against the crimes committed by the Islamic Republic.

Down with Islamic Republic!
Freedom, Equality, Workers’ State!
Long Live Socialist Republic!
